About TFG

The Fitness Gourmet started as a way for me to share my passion for food and fitness with others. I am a vegetarian, and I like to make quick, healthy, and easy meals. On the fitness side, I am a group fitness instructor licensed/certified to teach Zumba®, TurboKick®, indoor cycling, and BollyX®. I love trying out new ways to stay fit, whether it be aerobics, yoga, running, or strength training.

I completed my Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering in May 2011, and now work full-time as an engineer. I realize the value of time, and cooking healthy meals does not have to be time consuming! With my convenient recipes and workout ideas, I hope to convey the message that a healthy lifestyle can be accomplished by anyone.
